Better & Better
Every day, in every way, a little better and better.
Better & Better isn't a brand or a finish line. It's a philosophy I live by. I've broken my life into four areas (on social media they're called content pillars, the things I post about). In each one, I try to get a little better than I was the day before.
I teach media arts, robotics and computer science at the high school level. In my classes, I cover branding, social media content, artificial intelligence and building a presence online, all taught the way I wish someone had taught me.
Early-morning swims, interval training and heavy weights. 100 lbs lighter and healthier than ever. I used to struggle just to get out of bed. Now I can't start a day without training.
I'm writing my second book, Better & Better: A Blueprint for My Daughter. My first, Seeking Serotonin: The Memoirs of an Anxious Schoolteacher, is out now.

Alter Egos
Some days the regular me can't do the hard thing. So I switch on someone who can. Meet my alter egos:
The part of me that shows up when I don't want to. No negotiating, no excuses, just the next rep. _
Kaizen means continuous improvement. This is the operating system under the other two: the habits, the tracking and the meditation that keep me centred. _
The one who hits record, even when people call it a waste of time. _
